I love the summer and Israel being so sunny year-round! But with so little winter, there’s always excitement to drive in the rain, see winter locations and see Israel with a different view and angle. A wet and green version of the holly land!
Not sure where to travel to in cold, rainy days? Do you need some motivation?
My weekly ideas for winter travel with Shlomo Sixt:
- Cooking workshops! 4chef is operating amazing foodie workshops to make your heart and belly warm – I went to an Italian one with the kids and it was a bundle of joy!
- Spend a day learning about Israel photography – Tel Hai’s museum for photography is a great view about the north, Israel and people around us. and it has excellent views around it!
- Beit Hameiri in tzfat: Tzfat is such a beautiful city, a fairytale on a hill with the same vibe as Jerusalem – mystical and unique! While you are there, you can learn more about it in Beit Hameiri, a 3-story stone home telling the history of the streets of Tzfat, I loved it!
- This place is all about the druze culture, El Zamir motels and museum is a place to learn, taste and rest – druze style and you can enjoy it all in the winter – get cozy with warm tea and plenty of local, fascinating history!
If you need any rental car deals or looking into the future to rent a car – please let me know!
